Fuel Filtering & Conditioning

In many applications fuel is not utilized quickly and can begin to chemically break down and contaminants such as water and bacteria growth can invade. Dirt, water and/or algae that have infiltrated your fuel supply can be a serious hazard to the integrity of your fuel. These contaminants can and will:

• Clog fuel filters
• Clog fuel lines and gauges
• Break down fuel and cause poor fuel economy
• Corrode pumps and injectors
• Cause washers, hoses, and connectors to swell and blister
• Prevent particulates from settling out of the fuel
• Phase Seperation

These destructive factors can cause unexpected and excessive downtime, equipment failures, and unreliability in case of emergencies or power outages for back up power equipment. To avoid these problems, FMCC is able to perform tank cleaning, water removal, fuel filtration, and the installation of stand alone fuel filtration units. With the addition of non petroleum fuel blends, phase separation can also become an issue. We can also assist in prevention and repairs if phase separation occurs.
